Travellers evicted from a park in Wolverhampton

Travellers evicted from a park in Wolverhampton 1

After an initial instruction by Wolverhampton City Council last Wednesday (1st May), our agents served notice on a large group of travellers who had set up an illegal campsite at Fordhouses Park in Wolverhampton.

It was reported that some of the younger travellers had beaten up a number of local children, tried to steal from vehicles and were basically terrorising residents close to the location. One of our enforcement agents was also racially abused when he attended the site.

Following the statutory 24 hours notice the travellers failed to leave so a 12 man team of Penham Excel Enforcement Agents and HI-AB Truck attended the site at 8am on Friday (3rd May) with Police support to move 30 plus caravans and machinery trailers.

The site was cleared of travellers in full by Friday afternoon but in their wake they left a trail of rubbish which made parts of the park unusable.
