Penham Excel assist Walsall Council to remove car used in fly tipping

Walsall Council Fly Tipping - Penham Excel

We were pleased to assist Walsall Council and the local police force yesterday morning, utilising the powers of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, to lift a car that had been used to fly-tip 10 bags of illegally disposed waste.

The owner had been tracked down by the council but had failed to respond to them so our team arrived early yesterday to remove the vehicle and take it to our compound.

Fly-tipping is a blight on the borough and costs the public a significant amount of money to clear. Our work to remove the vehicle was covered today on regional television news channels and has also made headlines in the local newspapers, so hopefully this will serve notice to people who don’t dispose of their waste properly that they will be tracked down.

Residents are encouraged to report fly-tipping incidents to the council so they can take action.
